At Kijani…
We cultivate and craft pure, sustainably sourced herbal infusions, sharing them with the world. Our legacy of dedication to quality shines through every harvest, ensuring premium, dependable products for our customers and partners.
Our History
Our business was first established in 2020 by James Finlays Ltd, and most of the team are ex-Finlays employees. We are proud of our heritage with this reputable British company which taught us the power of integrity and real values.
In 2024, the Botanicals business transitioned to new ownership through a private investment and was rebranded as Kijani Botanicals in October of the same year.
Being one of the first organisations to ever try growing botanicals in Kenya, we began by growing Peppermint and Lemongrass. We kept our expectations low, not imagining that much would grow in such a wet climate, but we soon learnt that a lot more grows than we thought.
We are proudly based in Kericho, in the northwestern region of Kenya, and supply a diverse range of premium botanical products to some of the most respected brands in the industry.
Kericho receives over 2,000 mm of rainfall annually, and our light, well-draining red coffee soil provides ideal growing conditions. From a small trial area, we quickly discovered strong crop performance, allowing us to expand our portfolio into the wide range of products we offer today.
Over the past five years, we have continuously refined our growing and processing methods to ensure we deliver products of the highest quality. All our crops are grown pesticide free and are dried using a solar drying system that requires no additional energy—making this critical stage of production 100% sustainable.

Growing into the future
Building on this strong foundation, Kijani Botanicals is now looking to the future with ambitious expansion plans. Over the coming years, we aim to scale up our production capacity in Kericho while exploring new growing regions to diversify our supply base.
Our goal is to introduce additional botanical products that thrive in different microclimates, further strengthening our portfolio and resilience.
Alongside crop diversification, we plan to invest in advanced processing facilities and research-driven innovation to maintain our position as a trusted supplier of premium, sustainably grown herbal botanical products. By expanding both our product range and our global reach, we remain committed to delivering wellness-focused solutions to an ever-growing international market
