Stephen Scott – Managing Director
Steve is our Managing Director. He was born in Nairobi and then educated in UK, at Sedbergh School. He completed a Bachelors Degree in Agricultural Engineering at Newcastle upon Tyne before returning to Kenya to start a career in Horticulture. More recently he completed a Masters in Business Administration from the Edinburgh Business School, Herriot Watt University and worked for James Finlays for eleven years prior to running Kijani Botanicals.
Apart from his role as Managing Director , Steve is also an executive member of the Agricultural Employers Association, an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and a keen aviator.
Constance Langat – Finance Manager
Constance is the Finance Manager at Kijani Botanicals. She is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK). She holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Kenyatta University.
Constance brings extensive experience in financial management, having worked for eleven years in the public sector and eight years at Finlays before joining Kijani. Her background spans budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance in both public and private sectors.
Beyond her professional role, Constance is an active member of her community and serves on the Board of Management of a secondary school.
Erick Cheruiyot – Production Manager
Erick is the Production Manager. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from the University of Nairobi and a Master’s degree in Strategic Management from Kenyatta University.
He began his career at Finlay Flowers, where he gained in-depth experience in growing both roses and summer flowers. During this time, Erick completed extensive training in health and safety, finance, labour laws, quality management, human resource management, and managing for results. He is also a certified FACTS and BASIS adviser.
Erick has served in senior roles within the floriculture industry, including as Senior Production Manager at Bohemian Flower Farm in Naivasha and most recently as a Propagator at Murara Plants, overseeing the production of rooted and unrooted cuttings for both local and export markets. Outside of work, Erick is an avid sports enthusiast who enjoys football and badminton.
Gladys Ruto – Human Resource Manager
Gladys Ruto is our Human Resource Manager with extensive experience in people management and organisational development. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management (Marketing option) and a Master’s degree in Strategic Management, both from Moi University.
Currently, she is pursuing a Human Resource course at the College of Human Resource Management to further enhance her expertise in the field. Gladys brings over twenty five years of experience from James Finlays, followed by a one-year tenure at Black Tulip Flowers before joining Kijani Botanicals.
Charles Cheruiyot – Commercial Manager
Charles Cheruiyot is the Commercial Manager at Kijani Botanicals. He holds a Diploma in Accounting from Kitale Polytechnic and the Kenya Accountants Technician Certificate (KATC). With over twenty years of experience in sales, he has worked in the sales departments of Finlay Flowers and Flamingo Horticulture (K) Ltd. He later served as Commercial Manager for both Finlay Flowers and Finlay Botanicals for two years before assuming his current role at Kijani Botanicals.
Beyond his professional responsibilities, Charles is actively involved in community service. He serves as the Chairman of the Board at Cheptebes Junior Secondary School and is also a board member at Emitik Girls Secondary School.
Benson Odhiamboh – ICT Manager
Benson is a seasoned ICT professional with over fourteen years of experience spanning systems engineering, IT governance, audit, security, risk management, and regulatory compliance. His career includes a distinguished 10-year tenure at Finlays, where he developed deep expertise in IT infrastructure, systems administration, and the Enterprise Governance of IT (EGIT).
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology and is currently completing his Master’s thesis in Computer Systems. Benson is CISA-trained and holds certifications as a Lead Auditor and Lead Implementer in ISO/IEC 27001:2022 (Information Security, Cybersecurity, and Privacy Protection) and ISO 22301:2019 (Security and Resilience — Business Continuity Management Systems), among other industry-recognised credentials.
Jackson Mutai – Technical Services Manager
Jackson is the Technical Services Manager at Kijani, with extensive experience in the tea and floriculture industries. He holds diplomas in Agricultural Engineering and Project Management from Rift Valley Institute of Technology and Kenya Institute of Management.
Jackson began his career in 2007 as a Field Supervisor at Williamson Tea, later joining Finlays as a Factory Machine Operator. His strong technical acumen and leadership skills led to a promotion to Technical Services Assistant at Finlays Flowers, eventually progressing to his current managerial role.
In his position, Jackson oversees technical field operations, machinery maintenance, and factory equipment servicing, playing a key role in ensuring operational efficiency and reliability.
Mercy Miheso – Environment, Health, Safety, and Sustainability Manager
Mercy Miheso serves as the Environment, Health, Safety, and Sustainability Manager at Kijani Botanicals Limited. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science from Maseno University and has pursued additional professional certifications, including NEBOSH, HACCP, and Management and Leadership Skills. These qualifications have enhanced her ability to implement effective safety and sustainability strategies within the organization.

Gideon Korir – Processing Manager
Gideon is the Processing Manager. He is a qualified food scientist; he holds a Bachelor’s degree in Food Science and Nutrition from Meru University of Science and Technology. He is also a certified lead auditor in FSSC 22000 v.6. With over seven years of experience in the beverage industry.
Gideon has worked extensively with companies specialising in spices, herbs, and black tea. He currently oversees all manufacturing operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance across the board.
Viola Chelangat – Quality Assuran.ce Manager
Viola Chelangat, our Quality Assurance Manager, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Food Science and Technology from the University of Nairobi. She has also completed professional training in global food safety management standards, including FSSC 22000 and HACCP, alongside leadership development programs.
With a passion for excellence, Viola brings hands-on experience in upholding the highest quality and food safety standards across the food and beverage industry.
She leads Quality Assurance, Research, and Product Development, ensuring every process, product, and system meets our commitment to safety, innovation, and continuous improvement.
