Benson is a seasoned ICT professional with over 14 years of experience spanning systems engineering, IT governance, audit, security, risk management, and regulatory compliance. His career includes a distinguished 10-year tenure at Finlays, where he developed deep expertise in IT infrastructure, systems administration, and the Enterprise Governance of IT (EGIT).

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology and is currently completing his Master’s thesis in Computer Systems. Benson is CISA-trained and holds certifications as a Lead Auditor and Lead Implementer in ISO/IEC 27001:2022 (Information Security, Cybersecurity, and Privacy Protection) and ISO 22301:2019 (Security and Resilience — Business Continuity Management Systems), among other industry-recognised credentials.
